Being wide awake at 1 a.m. I decided to not waste the energy to fall back to sleep and instead put it to good use.
Good use indeed. By 2:53 a.m. I had 2 loads of laundry in process, 192 unread emails read (mostly junk), was checking out what is new at The Mom Bloggers Club, and 1 cup of coffee almost finished when the first freight train whistle of the day goes blaring through town.
3 a.m. I hear little feet shuffle on the floor. B comes out of the bedroom all squinty eyed. I pick her up and in her 2 year old, 3 a.m. voice says "I wuv u mommy".
Wow! Unconditional love is such a wonderful thing- it stops you in your tracks and sets you in the right direction.
I will now go back to bed with a smile on my heart.
