Call it Mid-life Crisis, I don't give a crap, or Freedom. I got my  nose pierced this past weekend. Why on earth would you do that?

This past year has been a rebirth for me. I'm getting the hang of motherhood and wifehood. I'm getting better at this Executive Homemaker thing. I'm learning to live poor frugal. I am doing my own thing. So why not?

During my first tattoo at Lady Hawke Tattoo in Carbondale, IL when I was 19 21 (of course I was of the legal age) I wanted so bad to get my nose pierced too.

What stopped you?
My impending projection into the Business World. Back then it was frowned upon if you looked a bit on the edge. So, I didn't get it.

Sitting in the tattoo parlor this past Saturday I got giddy as a school girl after I told the kid tattoo artist my plan. What a perfect and memorable way to celebrate my 3rd wedding anniversary and my Freedom!

Now I'm off to tweak my business plan and lead the business world...with a bedazzled nose!

  1. You are not alone. I'm glad I saw this. I've been wavering about getting some bright punk red streaks in my hair. I have always wanted to, and it came out and all my friends and husband have been encouraging me to just do it! But I don't want to be "that weird mom" at my son's preschool. How silly of me - why do I care?! I'm going to do it!

  2. Good for you! I think it's great when people do something that they have wanted to do for a long time!!

  3. HouseyWifey-You must post pics! I've been in the mood to get all 18 again and go all out punk. So far my 2.5yr old likes my tats, platinum hair, and now the nose ring...if I can only get her into Black Flag and The Cure!
